Give your Claude Code work a team of roles
In PocketCrew, each crew member is a role written in your repository. When Claude Code opens the office, it hands each instruction to the role that fits it best and records who is doing what.
The four starting roles
- Strategist
- Sets direction and decides priorities.
- Content lead
- Writes and polishes text and materials.
- Researcher
- Finds sources and checks the evidence.
- Designer
- Makes things look good and draws.
You choose which roles to hire when you set up the office. Strategist and Content lead are selected by default.
How Claude knows the team
Your office repository has three files that matter. CLAUDE.md is the office guide Claude reads every time the session opens. The instruction log holds what you asked for. The status file lists the crew: each member's role, whether they are working or idle, and a short line about the current task.
If an instruction names a crew member, that member takes it. If not, the member whose role fits best takes it and their status changes to working. When the work is done, Claude marks the instruction as done, adds a one-line summary, and pushes.
What the office shows you
PocketCrew reads the pushed status file and draws it. Working members sit at their desks. Idle members without a set seat sit in a rest room such as the pantry or lounge. You see the last update time, and whether an instruction is still waiting.
Good to know
- Work runs only when you open the repository in Claude Code, on your own Claude plan. PocketCrew does not run Claude for you.
- If Claude does not push, the office looks unchanged, because PocketCrew can only see pushed commits.
- Roles are a way to divide work clearly. They do not make the results better on their own.
